Becton Dickinson invests 56 million dollars in expansion of its plant in Edomex

Becton Dickinson (BD) inaugurated a new building at its Pharmaceutical Systems plant in Cuautitlán Izcalli, State of Mexico. The company will create a new production facility for refillable glass syringes for vaccines and a cap assembly plant for these injection devices.

The medical technology company established the above as part of the new four-year strategic business plan, in which 1.2 billion dollars will be invested worldwide to expand and update its manufacturing capacity, methods, and tools, among other devices, as reported by BD through a statement.

In this sense, BD reported that in the new infrastructure of its plant, located in Edomex, 56 million dollars were invested, with which 4 thousand square meters were built in a two-level complex equipped with machinery to automate its processes as well as specialized systems that guarantee excellence in the quality of its production.

Likewise, during the inauguration of the new complex, the vice president and general director of BD in Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America, Julio Duclos, explained the importance of medical technology that increases the infrastructure of this plant represents in the region.
